Why Loom exists.
After 15+ years in large corporate businesses, including eight years leading Page Group's UK logistics business, I've learned a lot about recruitment and how it should be done. I'm grateful for that experience, but it also showed me where the industry can do better.
I started Loom Talent with a simple goal: to do things differently. To build a business based on honesty, strong relationships and doing right by our clients and candidates.
Just as importantly, I wanted to create a business where people feel valued, treated fairly and proud of what they do.
That's what Loom Talent is all about.
Three things we hold to.
We meet clients in person wherever we can.
We work exclusively or retained.
We qualify properly, up front.
We would rather turn a brief down than take it on and get it wrong. 30 CVs become 6.
We hire experienced recruiters.
The hiring rule from day one has been five years minimum in your specialism, because the network a client is paying for has to be real.
The people who will run your brief.
Every consultant has at least five years in recruitment, and we spend our time on clients' sites, not in boardrooms.
Values with receipts.
Five words every agency uses. Here is what each one has to show for itself.
Onboarding check-ins at 1, 4 and 12 weeks after every start. The job is not done at offer.
89% of roles taken on are filled. The UK agency average is around 20%.
We say no to briefs we cannot deliver.
The founder is still on the desk, still billing, still standing on warehouse floors.
5,000+ placements over Matt's career, and 84% of clients come back the following year.
