Matthew Simpson.
Matt founded Loom Talent after eight years at Page Group, where he ended up leading the majority of the UK logistics division, setting individual and team performance records that still stand.
He remains hands-on and client-facing, running the Midlands region and senior appointments UK-wide, with reach into Europe and the US, and a particular pull towards senior operations leadership, sales and business development, solutions design, project management and continuous improvement roles.
He built Loom with two purposes. To do genuinely good work for the candidates and clients it serves, the right way. And to be a business its own people are happy and proud to be part of, with achievable targets and bonuses that actually get paid. Recruitment does not always have the best name at the school gates; Matt's answer is to run a firm that deserves a better one.
Outside work Matt is dad to Olivia and Lottie, with Dougie the Dachshund and Rufus the Beagle completing the household as honorary third and fourth children. His knees carry the years of football, so padel and golf now soak up the spare time. He is a lifelong Nottingham Forest fan and season ticket holder, which he only admits to now the club is back in the Premier League.
What Matthew places.
I place management and leadership roles across logistics and supply chain in the Midlands: warehouse, transport, planning and site leadership, for the businesses that keep Britain moving. I left the big-agency world to build a firm I would honestly want to join. I still run briefs personally, start to finish.
